Submissions
The Gator Times is a news site that reaches all students at the University of Florida. It is your guide to campus events, academic opportunities, community opportunities, and important academic administrative announcements. Space in the Gator Times is limited, therefore announcements oriented to specific majors, special interest groups or general meetings of student organizations will not be posted on Gator Times. Alternative outlets for this information are found at Reitz Union’s Student Events Calendar and Center for Student Involvement pages.
Adhering to the guidelines listed below is necessary for your post to be considered in Gator Times:
Items submitted should fit into one of the following categories:
- General Administrative Announcements
- Internships and Volunteer Opportunities with Government Agencies or Non-Profits
- Research Opportunities with Faculty
- Study Abroad Opportunities
- Leadership Opportunities
- Campus Events which open to all UF students and/or to the public
The deadline for submissions is noon the Thursday before the Monday they are to appear.
Submissions are limited to 100 words. Please include contact information and/or a link to a website for more details. Do not include any text formatting (bold, italics, underline), bullets or special characters. Submissions with grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, incomplete submissions or those which do not adhere to the submission guidelines will not be accepted. All accepted submissions will appear on the Gator Times web site, but only a limited number can appear in the Monday e-mail. Submission does not guarantee posting.
