Or have you never been on a service-oriented alternative break trip before? Well, you’re in luck! FAB is sending out three summer trips August 10th-August 16th.  The trip issues are Homelessness and Poverty, Environmental Sustainability, and HIV/AIDS. Apply now and be a part of an amazing group of students who all strive to make a commitment to community service, leadership, and social change.Participant applications will now be accepted on a rolling basis and are to be turned into the CLS in the Dean of Students Office (where you can find applications). Many first-year students get involved in community service early in their college career, and this is one way to learn more about some of the current issues, opportunities, challenges, and career paths for non-profit leadership.

Panel will be moderated by Jeanna Mastrodicasa, Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs. Themes: involvement in the community, active citizenship, and local issues.

In order to provide additional assistance in making your transition to UF, New Student Programs and the Division of Student Affairs presents the Featured Speaker Series. These speakers will cover areas of college life and touch on subjects that students will encounter during their college careers.

Help children whose parents have been affected by cancer. Come to the Camp Kesem 5K for Kids on Saturday, April 26, at 8:30AM. It will be lots of fun and GREAT exercise. Advance registration is $15 for the general public and $10 with a valid Gator 1 ID. The race will begin promptly at 8:30AM, and registration will start at 8AM.

Moving can be a chore, but if you find yourself with too much stuff then do a good thing and donate.
