The Local Government Panel will take place on Tuesday, November 17 at 7 p.m. in the J. Wayne Reitz Union room285.

Learn more about your local and state government. With City Commissioners, the County Manager, and others as panelists, you will hear about a variety of things that go on behind the scenes. Disney College Program – Paid Internships

The Disney College Program is a paid internship, offering the chance to earn while you learn. Presentation attendance is required to apply. You can also apply online at disneycollegeprogram.com.

Presentations are Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Dauer Hall Room 103 and Wednesday, Nov.
4, at 7:30 p.m. in Pugh Hall (Ocora Room). The Disney College Programs at the Disneyland® Resort and the Walt Disney World® Resort are unique, Disney-designed internship opportunities that allow participants to gain real-world experience while expanding their education and planning for their future. Participants have the opportunity to take courses, enjoy admission to Disney parks and receive various other discounts.

Environmental Fellowship

There will be an Environmental Fellowship information session November 12 from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the Career Resource Center – Classroom (Room 160)
Environment America is a national environmental non-profit hiring graduating seniors for a 2 year fellowship program. The 2010-2012 Environment America Fellowship Program is designed to give you an opportunity to make an immediate impact even as you gain the training and experience you need to become a leader in the environmental movement.

SEO Information Session

This internship is ideal for UF students looking to gain professional experience in Gainesville, FL. The chosen intern will focus on developing creative materials advertising 14 Gainesville apartment complexes.
Depending on his/her skill level and area of interest, he/she will assist in developing print and multimedia design pieces, Flash content, logos, ad layout, Web page redesign, dynamic form development, search engine optimization and more. The internship requires 10-15 hrs/week (flexible schedule). Trimark Properties is across the street from UF and provides a free parking pass. Interns will receive one to three UF class credits and a detailed letter of recommendation.

All completed work will be hosted and published, so that interns can display their professional talents for future resumes and interviews. This internship is unpaid, but UF course credit is available. If interested please send cover letter and resume to hr@trimarkproperties.com. Preference is given to students who can show at least one example of previous work and are open to a 2-semester project which will involve the development of 2 new websites for 2 brand new, luxury apartment complexes.
