Kennedy made a stop at the student union at the University of Michigan after midnight where he was greeted by thousands of students.  Kennedy first announced the idea of a Peace Corps at that moment, challenging young people to become Peace Corps volunteers. On October 13, 2008, college students and returned volunteers will gather all over the country just before midnight to show that young and old alike are ready to serve in a Peace Corps that is bigger, better and bolder and reaches more countries.

Where: Green Pond amphitheater new Orange and Brew

Time: 10pm-1am

Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and supporters of Peace Corps will sign a declaration to a stronger Peace Corps that will be sent to both Presidential Candidates.

The main purpose of our organization is to give members the opportunity to improve their speaking skills in a particular language. We are asking for a minimum of one hour a week until November 29th (two weeks before finals begin) from each volunteer.  Volunteers will receive service hours for their work.
