Participants will be immersing themselves into two migrant communities including Jupiter, FL., characterized by Guatemalan and other indigenous Central American migrants who work in landscaping and construction, and Immokalee, FL., characterized by Mexican, Haitian and other Central American migrants who work as agricultural workers in tomato fields.<br />
Service projects will center around the themes of law, health and education including know your rights presentations, health forums, pesticide awareness, English as a Second Language classes, etc. An informational session will be held November 17 at 7 p.m. in the Institute of Hispanic-Latino Cultures.
