Thanksgiving Dinner Party

Join Gator Dining Monday, Nov. 23 @ Gator Corner Dining Center for a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. They will be serving turkey with dressing & cranberry sauce, spiral sliced ham, au gratin potatoes, green beans and carrots, stuffed acorn squash and chocolate fondue for dessert.

There will be give aways and a grand prize drawing. Dinner will be served from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Use your residential, commuter, faculty/staff meal plan or $8.99 for cash customers.

Racism Within Your Own Race Forum

FEARLESS, which stands for Fiercely Eradicating All Racism, Loving Enemies, and Serving Society, is a student organization that stands for diversity on campus and promotes awareness against racism through forums and other activities.

Join FEARLESS for their next forum: “Racism Within Your Own Race.” The forum will be held on Tuesday, December 1 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in Florida Gym 265. Topics will include racial stereotypes, skin color & differences in appearance, and geographical racism. Free refreshments will be served.

Gators for HIV Education H.O.T. Party

A H.O.T. Party, which stands for Home Outreach Testing, is a medium for people to get free HIV testing, gain knowledge about sexual health and testing, meet new people and have a good time in a more intimate atmosphere that’s not reminiscent of a doctor’s office or health department. There will be plenty of free food, games, discussion, and optional testing. Attendance will be capped at 20 guests, so you must email D’Metris Welters at ghivevp@yahoo.com as soon as possible to RSVP and reserve your spot at the Party. The deadline to RSVP is Tuesday, December 1.

Peaceful Paths Collection Drive

Eta Sigma Gamma would likeyour participation with the Peaceful Paths donations drive taking place through November 30.

Peaceful Paths, a domestic abuse shelter, is collecting personal items for the abused women and children in their care. You can help this important cause by cleaning out your closets and bringing items back from Thanksgiving break. You may donate items such as women and children’s clothing, jewelry and accessories, personal care products, cosmetics, books, toys and games. You may drop items off in donation boxes, which are located in the Florida Gym, UF dorms, and several Gainesville apartment complexes. Free HIV Testing for UF Students

In honor of World AIDS Day 2009, Eta Sigma Gamma, GatorWell, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars teamed up to offer free HIV testing to UF students.
