Leadership Opportunity with Ambassadors of Civility and Ethics

The Ambassadors of Civility and Ethics, more affectionately known as ACE, is a student organization affiliated with the Dean of Students Office. Their purpose is to ensure that all students have an opportunity to know their rights and responsibilities as designated by the University of Florida code of conduct and code of honor.

ACE is currently seeking new members to help promote a strong code of ethics in the UF community.

RUB Entertainment presents, Student Stand-Up Competition. Do you think you or your friends are funny? Then prove it at the Student Stand-Up Comedy Competition. This is a great opportunity for UF students to show their comedic talent and win awesome prizes.

CHISPAS Alternative Spring Break

The Coalition of Hispanics Integrating Spanish Speakers through Advocacy and Service (CHISPAS) is proud to announce applications for the 2010 Alternative Spring Break Trip. Participants will be immersing themselves into two migrant communities including Jupiter, FL., characterized by Guatemalan and other indigenous Central American migrants who work in landscaping and construction, and Immokalee, FL., characterized by Mexican, Haitian and other Central American migrants who work as agricultural workers in tomato fields.
Service projects will center around the themes of law, health and education including know your rights presentations, health forums, pesticide awareness, English as a Second Language classes, etc. An informational session will be held November 17 at 7 p.m. in the Institute of Hispanic-Latino Cultures. HORIZONS will host its annual Veteran’s Card Making Day on Tuesday, November 10 at the Reitz Union Colonnade from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is your opportunity to show your appreciation for our troops by making them a personalized card in honor of Veteran’s Day. All cards will be delivered to the local VA Hospital.

Dance Marathon Dancer Registration Now Open

Dance Marathon is an annual 26.2-hour event where students stay awake and on their feet to raise money and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network, benefiting Shands Children’s Hospital at UF. KUSA Seoul Sho’

KUSA’s Seoul Sho’ is Tuesday, Nov. 10 in the J. Wayne Reitz Union Grand Ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.

Seoul Sho’ is a Korean-American cultural showcase featuring numerous performances such as cultural and modern dancing, folktale skits and live band music with special guests Jon IllaStrayte Kim, Jon Ahn, and Timothy Lee. This year’s theme is Many Faces, One Seoul. Come and take pictures with their mascot. Prizes will also be available.
