Thanksgiving Dinner Party

Join Gator Dining Monday, Nov. 23 @ Gator Corner Dining Center for a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. They will be serving turkey with dressing & cranberry sauce, spiral sliced ham, au gratin potatoes, green beans and carrots, stuffed acorn squash and chocolate fondue for dessert.

There will be give aways and a grand prize drawing. Dinner will be served from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Use your residential, commuter, faculty/staff meal plan or $8.99 for cash customers.

Meryl Streep stars as Julia Child, the reknown American chef, and Amy Adams stars as Julie Powell, a woman who tries her hand at mastering Julia Child’s cookbook in a year. The Sedoctaves at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts

The Sedoctaves, UF’s only all-female a cappella group, will perform at the Squitieri Studio Theatre at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts on Thursday, Nov.19 and Sunday, Nov. 22.

This is the group’s first headlining show at this venue. the singers plan to perform an eclectic mix of songs from their repertoire, including popular hits and oldies.

Tickets are available at the Phillips Center or online at http://performingarts.ufl.edu/tickets.
Regular tickets are $15.75 and student tickets, available at the box office, are $10.50.

University Gospel Choir CD Release Concert

The University of Florida Gospel Choir proudly announces its CD Release Concert.

The choir’s first album in 16 years, “Unrestricted Praise,” consists of all original songs and will be available for purchase ($10).

The concert will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the J.Wayne Reitz Union Grand Ballroom. This event is free and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

West Virginia Ski TRiP

The University of Florida Travel and Recreation Program (TRiP) will be offering students the unique opportunity to travel to West Virginia this winter break to ski with a group of 30 brand new friends.

The trip runs from Dec. 27, 2009 to Jan. 1, 2010 and is an all-inclusive (transport, food, lodging, lifts tickets, ski rentals, etc) trip. The cost of the trip is $600 for UF students. Sign up as soon as possible to ensure your spot. There are only 5 spots left.

RUB Entertainment presents, Student Stand-Up Competition. Do you think you or your friends are funny? Then prove it at the Student Stand-Up Comedy Competition. This is a great opportunity for UF students to show their comedic talent and win awesome prizes.
