SG Student Organization Funding – Summer B & Fall 2021
Below you will find information regarding SG Student Organization Funding for Summer B and Fall 2021. Important dates for this funding cycle are included in the message.
Eligibility for SG Funding
The following guidelines will be used as evaluative criteria to provide available Student Government funding including base funding, operational, event, and travel funds for organizations:
- Organizations must be officially registered with the Department of Student Activities and Involvement
- All signature authorities receiving Student Government funds must complete the annual Finance Training Class
- Organizations must not charge membership fees or dues
- Organizations must have at least ten (10) active members
- Organizations must not be a sponsored organization receiving direct support from another University entity
Base Funding
All student organizations that meet the SG funding eligibility guidelines above can receive up to $500.00 for the Summer B/Fall 2021 funding cycle if a base funding request is submitted. These funds can be used for technology, general body meetings, advertising, or events. This funding will NOT be on a first-come, first-serve basis and you can submit the request directly on Docutraq anytime during the 18 days that Docutraq is open for base funding requests. Regular Operational, Event, and Travel Requests
Operational, event, and travel requests will open on 3/22 at 9:00 AM (EST). These requests WILL be on a first-come, first-serve basis and you will be able to send in requests through Google forms that will be available at www.sg.ufl.edu/resources/budget starting at 9 AM on the designated date. For your reference, google form examples with the request questions will be provided at the same link at least one week prior to budget requests opening.
The Budget and Appropriations Chairperson or designee will send your organization’s president and treasurer an email with information if your request will be heard by the committee. If you have any questions, please email budget@sg.ufl.edu.
