Beware of Zoom Phishing Scams

Filed under Administrative, Information Tech on March 8, 2021.

Gators, watch out for Zoom scams! There are several new email scams that lure Zoom users into giving up their password and personal information. If you receive an unexpected email from Zoom claiming that your account has been suspended or that you missed a meeting, it’s probably fake. Always follow these precautions:

  1. Double-check the sender’s information. Zoom.com and Zoom.us are the only official Zoom domains.
  2. Do not click on any links or attachments in unsolicited emails.
  3. Log in to your UF Zoom account by using the Zoom app or by going to https://ufl.zoom.us/.

Remember you can report suspicious emails to UFIT with the Phish Alert Report button in GatorMail or by forwarding them to abuse@ufl.edu.
