ESOL Achievers is a nonprofit organization based in Gainesville, Florida. ESOL Achievers’ mission is to ensure immigrant high school students, specifically those in the ESOL Program, graduate high school and forge their unique path to achieve their dreams. The organization works with and supports over 100 ESOL (ESL) students at Gainesville High School.

Intern for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging:

ESOL Achievers is seeking a passionate student intern to support strategic projects for the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging team to help promote the organization’s year-long initiative. The initiative’s aim is to have vulnerable conversations with the organization’s leadership and to create action materials around Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work with a team to help create content and lead facilitation
Develop, draft and refine materials, communications and internal and external presentations

Qualifications:
Excellent judgement, organizational skills and independent decision-making ability
Strong written and oral communication skills
Results-oriented, with exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Creative, flexible and collaborative, with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Mastery of PowerPoint, Google Slides or Canva acceptable

Job
Unpaid internship: This position is 1-3 hours a week from March 2021- May 2021, with the option to stay on for longer.

Intern for Student Mentorship & Tutoring OnDemand:

ESOL Achievers is seeking a passionate student intern to support strategic projects for Student Mentorship and the launch of their Tutoring OnDemand Program. As an intern, this person has an opportunity to share input and ideas during meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work directly with Executive Director and Director of Mentorship to help create content and develop strategic initiatives
Facilitate communication between tutors, mentors, Gainesville High School students and teachers
Serve as project manager for the soft launch of Tutoring OnDemand program, managing all administrative tasks
Develop, draft and refine materials, communications and  internal and external presentations

Qualifications:
Excellent judgement, organizational skills,= and independent decision-making ability
Creative, flexible and collaborative, with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Comfortable with Google Drive, Mail and Google Programs: Presentation, Excel
Strong writing skills
Exceptional attention to detail

Intern for Social Media Management:

ESOL Achievers is seeking a social media content creator, strategist and social-impact communicator to manage their social accounts and implement an authentic and engaging content strategy for the organization. As an intern, this person will work closely with the Marketing Director to promote the organization, engage potential mentors, tutors and donors. They will get ownership over social channels and visibility into their performance metrics.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work directly with Marketing Director to execute Social Engagement Strategy
Keep audience engaged through informative and compelling posts
Create social campaigns for key initiatives such as donation drives and mentor/tutor recruitment
Curate photos and videos of students, mentors and team to share
Track performance metrics of posts and adjust strategy accordingly
Seamlessly connect

key platforms (IG, Facebook and Linkedin)

Qualifications:
Excellent communicator, creative ability and organized thinker
Ability to plan content for short & long term audience growth
Comfortable with Google Drive, Canva (or equivalent) and social media platforms
Ideally a Communications or Business student, but we’re open to anyone who demonstrates strategic social media skills and a passion for driving social impact.
Job
This is an unpaid, semester-long internship that offers exposure to the world of social media management and non-profit communications. Time commitment will be ~3 hours per week.

Intern for Website Design & Management:

We are seeking a content/design manager for the organization’s website, which includes a blog and research/insights center, an email marketing platform and which will need to tie seamlessly with the social media channels. The website will be already created and they need someone to help maintain it.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work directly with Marketing director to execute strategy for online presence, increase engagement
Make updates on the site’s pages and structure
Post bi-weekly blogs and share on social channels
Analyze and interpret results from Google Analytics to implement changes/improvements
Manage email marketing campaigns

Qualifications:
Must have experience using Wordpress and Elementor (or equivalent)
Technical knowledge of coding is not necessary, but preferred
Creative eye for web design and website navigation
Preferred experience with Mailchimp or Convertkit

Job:
This is an unpaid, semester-long internship that offers exposure to the world of website design, management and non-profit communications. Time commitment will be 1-3 hours per week.
