Let’s Talk About… Policing

In the wake of protests and increased dialogue around racial equity, many have been grappling with questions of policing in our local community and on a national level. This Let’s Talk About program will feature an engaging and interactive discussion between national experts and UF students on the role of policing.
Panelists include experts from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Yale University, and the City of Gainesville. The panel will discuss a range of issues including the role of police, the meaning and implications of defund the police, discussion around excessive force, and future actions that can be taken.
