SG Student Organization Funding

The Spring/Summer A 2021 SG student organization funding cycle is quickly approaching. With that being said, we have updated the funding processes from the past semester. Please see Student Senate Bill 2020-1052: 800 Codes Revision that passed in the Student Senate and the newly updated 800 codes.

Base Funding

One of the updates to the funding process is base funding. Base funding ensures that every student organization registered with the Department of Student Activities and Involvement and who has completed the finance training class can receive up to $500.00 per semester if an organization submits a base funding request. These funds can be used for technology, general body meetings, advertising, or events. This funding will NOT be on a first-come, first-serve basis and you can submit the request directly on Docutraq at anytime during the 17 days that Docutraq is open for base funding requests. Only one base funding request should be sent in by each organization. Please see code 808.0 for more information and details on base funding.

  • Docutraq opens for base funding requests: October 9 at 9 a.m. (EST)
  • Docutraq closes for base funding requests: October 26 at 4 p.m. (EST)

Regular Operational, Event and Travel Requests

Operational, event, and travel requests will open on October 19 at 9 a.m. (EST). These requests WILL be on a first-come, first-serve basis and you will be able to send in requests through Google forms that will be available at www.sg.ufl.edu/resources/budget starting at 9 a.m. on the designated date.

In accordance with the updated 800 codes, all operational, event and travel hearings will be conducted solely by the Budget and Appropriations Committee. This process is no longer split between two committees. The Budget and Appropriations Chairperson or designee will send your organization’s president and treasurer an email with information if your request will be heard by the committee.
