Student Assistant Job in the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing

The Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing is looking for part-time students to fill clerical positions.  Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing the conference room for meetings, greeting guests, scanning and photocopying, answering phones, separating mail and any other special projects as assigned.  The individual in this position will greet visitors to the suite and, as such, are expected to maintain a professional business demeanor and wear suitable office attire.

Hours are flexible based on students’ schedules with availability between 8 a.m. – 5: p.m., Monday-Friday.

Advertised Salary: $8.46 per hour

Minimum Requirements: The position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus. Students must have good communication skills and the ability to work in an administrative setting.

Preferred Qualifications: Data entry, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), general office experience, strong communication and organizational skills.  Ability to work independently, as well as follow verbal and written instructions.  Demonstrate professional etiquette in the office, on the phone, and in person.
