Truman Scholarship Local Deadline Nov. 19

The Harry S. Truman Foundation offers merit-based scholarships for college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in government, the non-profit or advocacy sectors, education, or elsewhere in the public service.
For this year’s award, students who plan to continue full-time undergraduate study and expect to receive a bachelor’s degree between December 2019 and August 2020 are eligible.  Previous winners of this award have come from many fields of study, including agriculture, engineering, physical sciences, and social sciences. Students should have at least 3.7 GPA, a strong record of public service and leadership, and a clear vision for their academic and professional careers.
Interested students should email UF Fellowships Advisor Regan Garner at rlgarner@ufl.edu to gain access to the application. A draft of the application and a list of prospective references are due to Ms. Garner by November 19. Additional information can be found at http://www.truman.gov.
