Weeks of Welcome – Summer B

Weeks of  Welcome is a campus-wide series of events designed to welcome new first-year, transfer and graduate students to the University of Florida, as well as to welcome back returning students.

Weeks of Welcome events are planned by and represent student organizations, academic units and student services to pique interests and bring people together across campus. Weeks of Welcome provides a variety of options for students.

Summer B:

  • July 2 – IRHA Red, White and Diversity Block Party from noon to 4 p.m. on the North Lawn
  • July 3 – Fanfare & Fireworks from 7 to 10 p.m. on Flavet Field
  • July 4 – Annual 4th of July Celebration from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Hal Brady Recreation Complex in Alachua. Learn more at http://www.cityofalachua.com/index.php/2018-july-4th-celebration
  • July 5 – Donuts with the Dean from 10:30 to noon at the Reitz Union Tabling Area (First Level)
  • July 5 – Midnight Munchies from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Fresh Food Company

  • July 8 – UF Bat Houses: Evening Emergence – The 15 to 20 minute period after sunset on Museum Road across from Lake Alice.
  • July 9 – Dining Hall Party from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fresh Food Company
  • July 10 – World Cup Watch Party beginning at 2 p.m. in the Reitz Union Chamber (Ground Level)
  • July 10 – ACCENT Speaker Series: Jay Pharoah at 7 p.m. in the University Auditorium
  • July 11 – World Cup Watch Party beginning at 2 p.m. in the Reitz Union Chamber (Ground Level)
  • July 11 – Battle of the Halls from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Broward Outdoor Recreation Complex
  • July 12 – Museum Nights from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Harn Museum of Art
  • July 13 – Gatormania and GatorNights from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the Reitz Union
