Splash Pals Volunteer Opportunity

Filed under Opportunities, Service on April 24, 2018.

Splash Pals at UF is looking for volunteers.

They provide an aquatic activity program for children with physical and developmental disabilities, focusing on swimming, exercise, social interaction and play. They work with various disabilities including: muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, spinabifida, autism, down syndrome, and others. It’s a great environment where our volunteerslearn and gain meaningful experience working with individuals with these disabilities. Currently, their pool sessions are on Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. at the North Central Florida YMCA.

On April 24, they will be hosting an adapted aquatics pool session at 6 p.m.. If you’re
available and would like to come out to see the program, please go to the Splash Pals website
and contact them right away, so they can get you set up to come out and see what they do!

Check out the website at www.SplashPals.com for more information. Feel free to contact them if you
have any questions or would like to speak to someone about the program.
