Search for Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Advisor to the President

Students, get involved in the search process for UF first Chief Diversity Officer. The Search Committee for the Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Advisor to the President has selected finalists who will be visiting campus this month:

  • Matthew L. Boaz, currently Chief Diversity Officer, Wright State University, will visit campus April 9-10
  • John Fitzgerald Gates, currently Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, University of Virginia, School of Engineering and Applied Science, will visit campus April 11-12
  • Marie T. Mora, currently Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Diversity and Professor of Economics, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, will visit campus April 17-18
  • Antonio Farias, currently Vice President for Equity and Inclusion, Wesleyan University, will visit campus April 19-20

Each of their schedules will include a session for students. Sessions scheduled to date include:

  • Forum and Presentation to Students is April 10 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the J. Wayne Reitz Union, Room 3320

John Fitzgerald Gates

  • Forum and Presentation to Students is April 12 from 9 to 10 a.m. in the J. Wayne Reitz Union, The Chamber

Once finalized, the time and location for each presentation will be posted to the CDO Search section of UF Human Resources’ website. Reminders and/or modifications to these schedules will be noted on the website. You also will find copies of the candidates’ materials on this website and evaluation forms for your feedback.
