Florida Days Volunteers Needed

Filed under Opportunities, Service on April 9, 2018.

The Office of Admissions is seeking student leader volunteers in order to assist with the facilitation of the Florida Days Program on Friday, April 13 from 8 p.m. to midnight.  Florida Days is a program for newly admitted freshman Gators and a family member. Florida Days is for students and their family members who haven’t committed to UF and are seeking more information about the opportunities our university has to offer. Florida Day Volunteers serve an essential role and are student leaders who have the unique opportunity to represent the University of Florida.

Florida Day Volunteer roles may include, but are not limited to:  Directing attendees from the hallway to particular meeting locations, directing attendees to meeting spaces located in buildings outside the Reitz, staying in the meeting space rooms to help presenters to hand-out papers or to assist with AV equipment. Volunteers may be asked to station themselves in the parking lot reserved for attendees and direct them to the coach buses that will take them over to the Reitz.

Florida Day Volunteer Attire: May include gator gear or AVA polo, and comfortable shoes.

Breakfast, and lunch will be provided.

If you are interested in becoming a student volunteer for Florida Days, please email Jemima Francique at jfrancique@admissions.ufl.edu
