The Latino Educational Advancement Program (LEAP) is an academic success initiative offered by Hispanic-Latino Affairs. This program is designed to help first-semester Latin@/x students acclimate to college and provide them with the necessary tools for a successful academic career here at UF. To do this, LEAP hosts a series of weekly one-hour workshops that will take place every Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. throughout the spring 2018 semester. We also pair you with a seasoned mentor that will offer you academic guidance and moral support.
As a LEAP Scholar, you will enjoy the following benefits: discounted tutoring services, one-on-one academic guidance from LEAP coordinators, access to academic success workshops, having one-on-one attention from a seasoned mentor, connection with other first-year students, access to social activities, student development opportunities, and post-program involvement opportunities. Deadline to apply is 1/12, by midnight. For any questions, contact Jessica Valdes at jessicavaldes25@ufl.edu.
