The Black Student Affairs Task Force and Black Affairs are hosting a Town Hall with President Fuchs on Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Reitz Union Rion Ballroom.

This event is a continuation of the Town Hall dialogue held in March 2017. The organizations are working with President Fuchs to hold Town Halls on a regular basis.

At the event, the president along with other administrators will give reports on campus climate issues, the university’s response to events this semester and new university initiatives. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to share their experiences, concerns, and suggestions.

Other administrators who will be present include Jodi Gentry, vice president for Human Resources; and Dr. David Parrott, vice president for Student Affairs.

“It is vital we continue to have open, transparent dialogue about the issues facing marginalized students on this campus and across the country,” Will Atkins, Associate Dean of Students/ Senior Director of Multicultural and Diversity Affairs, said. “This event will continue to help make our university an educational environment of respect and inclusion.”

The event will be recorded and live streamed. Light refreshments will be served.
