GatorNights: Latin Beats

Filed under Entertainment & Dining, Events on November 14, 2017.

Feel the rhythm this Friday night, November 17 at GatorNights: Latin Beats! Show off your competitive spirit with dodgeball and other indoor sports or strike a pose with a custom silhouette. Add some color and culture to your space as you create a tissue paper flower or some DIY papel picado, a traditional folk art in many Latin American countries. Bring some Latin heat to the dance floor with a Zumba dance class from 9:30-10:30 p.m. or stop by the annual salsa concert presented by UF’s Union of Active Puerto Rican Students (UEPA) from 8-11 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. Check out musical guest Nelly’s Echo for a live acoustic set in the Reitz Union Atrium from 8:30-9:30 p.m. or swing by the auditorium for some free popcorn, soda, and our featured film, It, showing at 8 and 10:45 p.m. If you’re still hungry afterward, grab some pizza at Midnight Munchies in the Reitz Union Food Court starting at midnight. GatorNights is Always Friday, Always Free for UF students with their Gator1 Card at the Reitz Union from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Attendees must be current students to participate and are allowed to bring a maximum of one guest to the event.
