Goldwater Scholarships are awarded to outstanding undergraduates who are studying mathematics, natural sciences, or engineering and who intend to pursue a career in research (not in medical practice). Current sophomores or juniors who wish to be considered for UF nomination must submit an application by November 20 through the Goldwater website: http://goldwater.scholarsapply.org/index.php. (Note that a pre-application is required in order to access the full application)

Fellowships Advisor Regan Garner will present an overview of UF’s nomination process and discuss what makes a competitive application at an information session on Wednesday, October 4 at 10:40 a.m. in room 320 of the Student Health Care Center. 2017 Goldwater Scholar Mihael Cudic will also be available to share advice and answer questions. First, second, and third year students interested in research careers and graduate studies are encouraged to attend. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.
