UF Neuromedicine Pet Therapy Program

Filed under Academic & Research, Opportunities on July 2, 2017.

Calling all Gainesville dog-owners! The UF Health Neuromedicine is currently recruiting affectionate, chipper dogs to become a volunteer-therapy dog and provide comfort for Neuromedicine patients. This opportunity reduces levels of stress and increases one’s sense of well-being and fulfillment for our patients. If your furry friend is 1 year or older and vaccinated, you can get started! To hear more about the process, email them at nicap@health.ufl.edu or call them at (352) 273-6961. Their goal is to recruit enough dogs along with their owners for each Neuromedicine patient to experience the therapy that accompanies loving on an adorable pup.
