Got Wi-Fi? Learn How to Connect

Filed under Administrative, Information Tech on May 22, 2017.

If you’re studying or working on an assignment in your dorm room, at Library West, or even at the Florida Gym pool this summer, the UF Wi-Fi connection is never far. Connecting your mobile devices to the campus Wi-Fi is quick and easy. UFIT has installed more than 4,300 Wi-Fi access points on campus, and adding more each week to help keep you connected 24/7, wherever you are on campus.  Here’s a list of the network connection options available:

  • UF – Enter your GatorLink ID to access the wireless network from anywhere on campus
  • Eduroam – If you’re studying abroad this summer, access the Internet in more than 54 countries and 6,000+ educational institutions with this secure network
  • Ufguest – Invite visitors to use the university’s reliable guest network. No temporary access PIN required
  • Ufinfo – Provides assistance with configuration and problem resolution

UFIT has short instructional videos on how to connect your devices. The UF Computing Help Desk also provides instructions on connecting to the campus Wi-Fi. If you experience trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, stop by HUB 132 during walk-in hours, or reach staff 24/7 by phone (352-392-HELP/4357) or email (helpdesk@ufl.edu).
