Studying Abroad? UFIT Can Help You

Filed under Administrative, Information Tech on April 23, 2017.
After finals week, many students set off to begin internships, travels, or studies. Here are some helpful tips you can use while traveling the world.
  • Free access to a secure Wi-Fi network is available via Eduroam. Eduroam allows students, faculty, and staff to access the Internet in more than 54 countries and at over 6,000 educational institutions. To access the network, simply choose “eduroam” in the Wi-Fi connectivity box and log in with your GatorLink credentials
  • It’s important to stay safe while studying abroad. To prevent unauthorized people from accessing personal information, remember to verify encryption on your laptop and mobile devices. Only connect to secure wireless networks and always use UF’s VPN service. For more ways to stay safe, visit http://bit.ly/1sMk2hh
  • The Help Desk is available 24/7 via email (helpdesk@ufl.edu) in case you have trouble connecting to eduroam,  e-Learning, or your GatorLink account
