Loud and Queer Consent

Filed under Cultural, Events on February 13, 2017.

Navigating conversations on consent can be difficult as an LGBTQ+ person. How can one feel empowered as an LGBTQ person or as an LGBTQ person of color?

As a part of STRIVE’s Cupid Consent Week 2017 and LGBTQ Affairs’ Wellness Wednesday series, Loud and Queer Consent is aimed to educate our community on the importance of consent and empower LGBTQ+ students to feel more comfortable having these necessary conversations. They will discuss how different marginalized communities face unique struggles in being sexualized or desexualized, and help participants practice negotiating consent.

This event is open to everyone regardless of identity. They hope to see you there Wednesday, February 15, 5-7 p.m. in Reitz Union Room 2210.
