Become a UF Community Tutor

Filed under Academic & Research, Opportunities on February 6, 2017.

Tutoring is a great way to help students in the K-12 community as well as your fellow UF peers while gaining valuable job experience. UF has a partnership with Tutor Matching Service by which UF students are able to sign up to become a tutor. You can elect to tutor online or in person and even set your availability and rate (average rate is $15/hour). You don’t have to be a professional tutor to sign up – just feel comfortable teaching math, science, or whatever subject you choose to others.

When you sign up to become a tutor, a background check as well as a UF conduct check will be performed (at no cost to you). You’ll also be required to complete an online tutor training class (also at no cost to you). Interested? Take a look here for more information: http://www.umatter.ufl.edu/resources/tutoring
