Summer Health Professions Education Program

The six colleges associated with UF Health received a $415,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to develop a pilot project for the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP). UF SHPEP runs May 22-June 30, 2017. SHPEP enables underrepresented and minority students interested in health care careers to take part in a FREE six-week summer residential program in Gainesville. UF SHPEP explores four career pathways (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy & public health) with exposure to 12 different professions. Transportation, food, on-campus room and board, and a stipend included.
