Florida Alternative Breaks Trip: Community Development

Filed under Opportunities, Service on December 11, 2016.

This Spring Break, March 4-11 2017, Florida Alternative Breaks will be working with Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Alabama and five universities from the Southeastern Conference Compact. The goal is to help build and/or renovate homes for those who need housing assistance and also to get to know the local community of Guin, Alabama.

The total cost of the trip is $210. This includes lodging, travel, and food. The deadline for the trip payment is two weeks before the actual trip (February 13-February 17), but we are striving to have the final trip details completed before classes are out for Winter Break.

Do not let money be your reason for not participating! The Brown Center for Leadership & Service offers scholarships as well as payment plans for those who need financial assistance. You can also visit the CLS located on the second floor of the Reitz Union from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. If you have any more questions about the costs of a FAB trip or want information regarding scholarships or payment plans, please click on the link below.
