GatorNights: Fort GatorNights

Filed under Entertainment & Dining, Events on November 15, 2016.

“Ten-hut!” GatorNights is drilling you and your platoon at our boot-camp-themed event this Friday, November 18, 2016. This night’s activities are inspired by this year’s Common Reading Program book, A Higher Standard, written by Ann Dunwoody.  Sip a good cup of coffee, write letters to troops, and even bring some supplies for our soldiers to turn in at the Global Coffee House. Physical training is a must for any cadet so work a sweat and have fun at our rock climb wall and boot-camp obstacle course! You’ll even have a chance to make your own sweatbands and dog tags! Decode a message at our Morse code-cracking activity!  Enjoy the 8 p.m. or 10:45 p.m. showing of this week’s movie, The Purge: Election Year. Also be sure to catch the Caribbean Student Association hosting their Mr. and Ms. CaribSA pageant from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom! Midnight Munchies will be nachos and tacos this week, served in the Reitz Union Food Court from midnight to 1:30 a.m. GatorNights is Always Friday, Always Free for UF students with their Gator1 Card at the Reitz Union. Attendees must be current students to participate and are allowed to bring a maximum of one guest to the event.
