Alex Rodriguez, former professional baseball player for the New York Yankees, will speak at the University of Florida on November 15, at an event hosted by ACCENT Speakers Bureau.

Ted Spiker, chair of the Department of Journalism at the University of Florida and a professor of Sports Media & Society, will moderate the discussion.

Rodriguez’s speaking engagement, including an audience Q&A, will begin at 8 p.m. at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts with doors opening at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and tickets will be available for pick up at the Phillips Center box office. Students with valid UF ID may pick up a maximum of two tickets beginning at noon on Monday, November 14. If any tickets remain, they will be made available to the public at noon on Tuesday, November 15.
