The Office of APIA Affairs and the Indian Student Association are proud to present the APIDA Inaugural State of the Union Address on Asian American Affairs on Thursday, November 10, 2016., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Their community is becoming more diverse and they must continue to be inclusive. With this goal, they hope to shift their acronym from APIA to APIDA, or Asian Pacific Islander Desi American, to include the Desi community.

The APIDA State of the Union will be delivered by Krystie T. Nguyen, Director of APIA Affairs, followed by a panel of various student leaders who will discuss the current state of affairs in the Asian American community at the University of Florida and beyond. This event will serve as a space to have a productive dialogue between student, faculty, staff and alumni. Light refreshments will be provided.
