Still I Rise: A Celebration of Tupac’s Legacy

September 13 marks the 20th Anniversary of Tupac Shakur’s death. To commemorate his impact and contributions as a music artist, philanthropist, activist, and actor the University of Florida’s African American Studies in conjunction with RUB Entertainment are sponsoring a two-day symposium in his honor. The symposium will begin Wednesday, September 7 at 7 p.m. in the Rion Ballroom and will entail an in depth analysis of Tupac Shakur followed by a forum panel discussion. There will then be a showing of the movie “Juice” on Thursday, September 8 at the Reitz Union Auditorium at 7 and 9:30 p.m.
