Explore More: Sea Level Rise

Filed under Academic, Events on August 30, 2016.

Rising water levels could have serious impacts on Florida’s coastal communities.  At 6 p.m. on Aug. 30 in the Pugh Hall Ocora, UF climate change scholars Andrea Dutton, assistant professor in UF’s Department of Geological Science, and Kathryn Frank, assistant professor in UF’s Department of Urban and Regional Planning, will discuss their research as featured in UF’s Explore magazine.  The talk will examine how communities, county governments and natural resource agencies can plan for sea level rise and the consequences of climate change. The event is free and open to the public and will be streamed live at www.bobgrahamcenter.ufl.edu.
