Michael Thurston, State Department Diplomat-in-Residence UF Advising Hours

Michael Thurston, U.S. Department of State Diplomat-in-Residence, will hold office hours in the UF International Center Small Conference Room on Thursday, April 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. He will be available to talk with students about possible careers or internships with the Department of State.

Thurston most recently served in Afghanistan, where he was the Political Advisor and Senior Civilian Representative to the Special Operations Joint Task Force. Prior to his service in Afghanistan, he led the U.S. Embassy in Burma as the Charge d’Affaires.
