From Charleston to Chapel Hill: Countering Islamophobia & Racial Injustice

Islam on Campus invites you to a talk with Margari Aziza Hill on the rising, intersectional problems of Islamophobia and racism, and how to combat and counter them. This event is free and open to the public and will take place at the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom on Wednesday, February 10 – the anniversary of the 2015 Chapel Hill shooting. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the event will start at 7:30 p.m. Free food will be served. This event is part of Islam Appreciation Month 2016 and is cosponsored with Students Taking Action Against Racism, the Arab Students’ Association, Savant Leadership Honorary, the UF Center of Global Islamic Studies, and Welcoming Gainesville.
