Fitness Workshops: Olympic Weightlifting (Beginner)

USAW certified staff will lead a two-hour Olympic Weightlifting Fitness workshop where they will help students develop the skills necessary to effectively perform the snatch, clean and jerk. The beginner course focuses on mastering technique and will provide students with take home drills to practice on your own. Taking this course makes students eligible for the intermediate course, which focuses on loaded lifts to prepare participants for the OWL test out to gain access to the platforms. The workshop will be held at the Southwest Recreation Center on Feb. 8. Register at There is a $15 non-refundable registration fee.
