Science and Technology Intersections is a collaboration event between Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) with Women in Computer Science and Engineering (WiCSE).

The event will start with presentations by Gainesville tech start-up Rapid Genomics’ Marcio Resende and UF Computer and Science & Engineering professor Dr. Corey Toler-Franklin, demonstrating the awesome potential of interdisciplinary work in computer science and STEM research.

They will then break-out in circles in a “mini hackathon” to design programming solutions to real-world science and technology challenges.

Appetizers and beverages will be provided, sponsored by the Women’s Affairs Cabinet! The event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Pugh Ocora (lobby).
