More Human than Human: The Work of Life in the Age of Biotechnology

In her talk, Priscilla Wald will analyze key works of science fiction, significant legal cases, and key policy debates that help us to understand the convergence of scientific innovation and political change. In a growing world of robots, clones, and human enhancement, new questions are raised about the future of human identity; and it is in the genres of science fiction film and literature that our excitement and anxieties about the future can best be explored.
