Florida Alternative Breaks – Site Leader Positions Open

Filed under Opportunities, Service on September 16, 2014.

Florida Alternative Breaks, or FAB, is a University of Florida student-led organization that sends out service-learning trips based on specific social issues during academic breaks. They believe education, strong direct service, and reflection are among several key components that set the FAB experience apart in terms of growth and impact, both for our participants and the communities they serve.

The Site Leader position is a time-intensive, demanding, and rewarding enterprise. Site Leaders prepare throughout the entire year in order to lead their trip over academic breaks. They hold their Site Leaders to high standards, and seek dedicated individuals who will delve into their social issue and emerge as well-rounded, educated leaders. Each individual will be paired up with a co-Site Leader and matched with a specified trip and issue.

Site Leader applications for all  seasons are due September 17 by 5 p.m.
