The Summer Learning Program at the University of Florida College of Dentistry has released its applications for the 2014 program year. The program will take place July 7-25, 2014, and the application can be found here: http://dental.ufl.edu/education/dmd-program/student-multicultural-affairs/outreach-programs/summer-learning-program/.

This program will provide pre-dental students with the opportunity to learn more about the dental profession and help them become stronger dental school applicants. Selected students will spend three weeks at UF participating in dental workshops, rotations through UF’s various specialty dental clinics, simulation lab projects, networking activities, and more.

Participants will also become stronger dental school applicants through interview, financial aid, and DAT workshops. The program has no cost to students and offers room and board. SLP targets, but is not limited to, students of educationally or economically disadvantaged backgrounds and/or of ethnic minority status.

All components of the application must be received by March 7, 2014, and accepted participants will be notified by early May.
