The Best Use of 10 Seconds Ever…

Filed under Administrative, Information Tech on July 30, 2012.

Imagine your laptop stolen but being able to lock it remotely, track its location, and even send an audio text to the thief?!

Not only is this possible, but UF students get the service for free through Front Door software.   If your laptop is lost or stolen Front Door lets you lock it down, text the thief, or choose to blast a message from your laptop’s speakers. You can also use Google Map to see the laptop’s current location, which can greatly assist the University Police Department in retrieving it for you.  Don’t lose your laptop, and all of the emails, coursework, and photos you have stored on it.  Take 10 seconds and download Front Door onto your laptop.  More information available on UFIT News.
