Don’t Get A ‘Time Out’ When You’re Online!

Filed under Administrative, Information Tech on July 30, 2012.

Logging in to UF’s ‘ufw’ wireless network will soon lead to “timing out” during active sessions–potentially causing you to lose work in progress.

The ‘ufw’ network is going away, so reconfigure your device to use the ‘uf’ network as soon as possible. Using the ‘uf’ network requires having up-to-date anti-virus software in order to connect to the network.

Contact the UF Computing Help Desk immediately if you need help with the requirements or reconfiguration to the ‘uf’ wireless network.  Go to: or call: 352-392-HELP (4357).
