UF Student Senate Seats Open

The UF Student Senate serves as the legislative branch of Student Government for the University of Florida. There are currently several open seats, which the Senate is seeking to fill as soon as possible. Visit http://www.sg.ufl.edu/Applications to determine if you live within an open district seat, or are a student within one of the open college seats. Applications for available seats are always due on Friday at 4 p.m.

The purpose of the Senate is to closely represent the views and ideas of over 50,000 students at the University of Florida. The Student Senate performs tasks ranging from confirming Executive and Judicial appointments to passing Student Body Laws, Authorizations and Resolutions. The Senate is also responsible for allocating the activity and service fees each year, which is currently well over 17 million dollars.
