Mozilla has teamed up with the National Science Foundation for US Ignite, a competition awarding prize money for ideas showing how Next Generation networks will revolutionize education, energy, green industries, healthcare, and other areas technologies can enhance.  The competition is about brainstorming good ideas and “apps”.  (An app means any product driven by IT.) You don’t need to be a developer or IT geek participate…you just need to submit a good idea!

Ideas submitted so far include getting emergency medicine via high speed networks into ambulance services, better approaches to ‘green’ shopping, and global-access “print on demand” services.

Submit your ideas, Gators…the contest closes on August 23!
