Beginning July 16 students will be unable to connect to UF’s Wi-Fi network if their laptop or Mobile device does not have up-to-date security tools.
Since May anyone connecting to the campus wireless network has received pop-up message alerts that the security on their laptop or wireless device needs updating.
The pop-ups suggest you install or update security tools such as an anti-virus program.
Enforcement of the updated security requirements begin on July 16.
If the required security is not detected, the only wireless access available will be to documentation and anti-virus software until the necessary updates are made.
Address these issues before the blocking begins on July 16–update now so you don’t lose campus wireless access!
