Digital Citizenship Conference

JAM and the Public Service Council present the Digitial Citizenship Conference on April 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Pugh Hall. Participants will learn how to use social media and build a toolbox to become engaged citizens online through sessions with leaders on topics including using social media in a student government campaign, social media in the Arab Spring, Planned Parenthood’s use of online media, how to influence policy and more. Keynote from the largest YouTube influencing company Big Frame will speak about the SOPA and share how tactics for going “viral” in the entertainment industry are applied to social activism.
