Kappa Phi Lambda Lip-Sync Concert
Dub Battle is a lip-syncing competition presented by Kappa Phi Lambda, Sorority, Inc. for the Building Dreams Foundation to raise awareness and fundraise for a future Asian-American Institute at the University of Florida. Performances will be judged on lip-sync accuracy, creativity, showmanship, culture, relevance to the theme, and crowd support. This year’s theme is: WORLD TOUR. You must be entered in one of three categories: Greek, Student Organization, or Independent. Shiny new trophies will be given for the best performance from each category, as well as one for Best Overall Act.
To register, fill out an interest application on the back of any of the flyers, and more information will be gathered from you later. There is a registration fee of $25 per group. The form and money must be submitted in the AASU Office located on the 3rd floor of the Reitz Union by FRIDAY, MARCH 18 at 5:00pm. Music will be due a week later on FRIDAY, MARCH 26 by 5:00pm in the same location. Songs will be selected on a first come, first serve basis. At least 5 people must register per group (However, everyone doesn’t have to be on stage all together). There is a 6 minute maximum for each performance.
