Information Session for Summer Yucatan Program
This session will be held Wednesday, February 27th at 4 pm in Pugh Hall conference room, Room 210 Pugh. The program runs June 25 to August 1, 2008, costs $3960 plus airfare, and provides 9 credit hours (3 Spanish, 1 Anthropology, 5 more of either Anthropology OR Ecology. Cost includes home stay with a Mexican family (room and board), all excursions (hotels, entrances, meals), course costs. The Yucatan program is open to ALL MAJORS, with no prerequisites. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish, including courses for students with limited Spanish background. This is a UF Program with over 600 alumni. The program takes place in one of the most beautiful and safest parts of Mexico. UF professors Mark Brenner (Geology) and Allan Burns (Anthropology) coordinate and teach courses along with professors from the Autonomous University of the Yucatan.
