Museum Nights: Day of the Dead
On Thursday November 1st from 5-9pm join Museum Nights at the Florida Museum of Natural History for the annual cultural Day of the Dead celebration. Experience a different cultural tradition of celebrating the after-life on Día de los Muertos. Create your own papel picado, admire regional birds, and learn about regional customs. Enjoy a presentation on the Aztec notions of soul by Susan Gillespie. Then take a virtual bird-watching trip through the Mexican desert with Dr. David Steadman, curator of birds for the museum.
